| Xbox Series X|S | Available | $19.99; Optimized for Xbox Series X|S; 4K Ultra HD, HDR10; listed with Xbox cross-platform co-op. |
The 1 September launch post names exactly these: “PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S”. Steam’s feature list adds full controller support, DualShock and DualSense support, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.
Not available
- Xbox Game Pass — not included. The Xbox Store sells it at $19.99 with no Game Pass badge, and no announcement has mentioned the service. The Trends breakout for “crimson moon gamepass” is players asking, not an answer.
- Nintendo Switch 2 — no version announced.
- Xbox One / PS4 — no last-generation version; the Xbox listing is Series X|S only.
- macOS / Linux — Steam lists Windows only.
- Physical copies — nothing announced; all four storefronts are digital.
Handhelds and cloud
- Steam Deck. No Steam Deck compatibility rating had been assigned as of 2 September 2026. The support articles do include a Steam Deck control column, and the game runs there — but the official Known Issues list confirms “saves may not sync correctly between Steam and Steam Deck when using the same account”, so play on one device until Hotfix 1.0.1. The minimum spec (GTX 1070 / RX 5700 class, 16 GB RAM, 50 GB) is above the Deck’s hardware; expect reduced settings.
- Xbox Ally / other Windows handhelds. Nothing official. It is a Windows game with full controller support, so it will install; performance is untested.
- GeForce Now. Not listed by the developer; a Steam forum thread asks and has no developer reply. Unconfirmed.
- PlayStation Portal. The PS Store lists PS5 and PS Portal cloud streaming “only with Premium subscription”.
PC requirements in brief
Minimum is an i5-8400 / Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1070 / RX 5700 / Arc A580, DirectX 12, Windows 11 and 50 GB. Recommended is an i7-10700K / Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB and an RTX 3070 / RX 6700 XT / Arc A770. Full table and the ray-tracing crash note on the system requirements page.
Crossplay between these platforms
Confirmed by the developers in AMA #1 and #4: PC, PS5 and Xbox players can play together. Details and the exact quotes are on the co-op and crossplay page.
